Welcome

Headed by Designer, Candice Norcross, Northern Cross Design Studio was established in 1993, and is located in the heart of the Central Coast Wine Country.   While designing for renowned art glass artist, Bri'oni, the  etching process became fascinating to Candice.  As a team Bri'oni and Candice created many collections destined for Art Galleries, Museums and even a unique bell for the tree in the Blue Room of The White House.

The first in an innovative collectors’ offering,

the inaugural vintage of

“THE ARTIST COLLECTION”

consists of a limited lot of extraordinary five liter bottles

filled with an exclusive blend of 2006 Tolosa Pinot Noir.

Each is beautifully adorned with the

etched and hand-painted image

of

Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss.”

Painstakingly created by

Designer and Glass Artist

Candice Norcross,

The intricity of these pieces required many steps

including hand drawing, sandblasting,

airbrushing, sponging and layerd hand-painting.

Each was done in a deliberate order and manner, all by hand.

As crowning touches, Swarovski crystals were strategically

added to the artwork, and the bottle neck were carefully

hand-dipped in black wax.

Each bottle comes with a custom jewelry style,

piano finish box and a black velvet bag

with gold embroidery.

The box has a key closure, and is lined.

The wine in the bottles is an exclusive

“ARTIST COLLECTION”

blend of 2006 Pinot Noir, made by Tolosa’s talented winemakers. Select blocks in the vineyards are chosen for their high quality fruit and distinctive flavors. The grapes are hand-harvested and the wine is hand-crafted in classic French oak barrels. While the wine ages, the winemakers meticulously evaluate each and every barrel. Only those that display exceptional characteristics of Pinot Noir, with emphasis on aromatics and extraction, are chosen for

“THE ARTIST COLLECTION”

program.

Only 500 bottles were created, and the design has been retired.

Each year moving forward, Tolosa will create a new blend, and Norcross will design new artwork. The limited nature of this project is sure to ultimately increase the value of each bottle as it ages. Art on the bottle; art in the bottle.

Labels are recreated true to the original.
